OATMEAL: Mix crushed oats with two tablespoons of milk to make a paste. Rub this mixture for 5-7 minutes and rinse. This exfoliating is helpful because Oatmeal has the ability to tighten the skin leaving it vibrant and glowing.



SUGAR & LEMON: Sugar combined with lemon is a superb natural exfoliate and is very useful if you do not have any other natural exfoliate available. Simply mix a pinch of sugar with half squeezed lemon juice and rub in circular manner. A honey moisturizer closes the pores and makes the skin soft. This exfoliate is most useful in cases of suntan.



SEA-SALT: This type of a natural exfoliates is not useful for facial purposes as it includes harsh ingredients. The method is to dissolve the sea-salt in 2-3 tablespoons of yoghurt and apply it for 10 minutes. Make sure to damp your skin with water before applying. The element of sea-salt will scrub away the dust particles and the yoghurt will moisturize the skin. This process should be done once in a week.




Although, exfoliating is a simple process, but some points should be kept in mind that aids in better results.



1. Always exfoliate your skin with a light hand. Do not be harsh.



2. Scrub your skin for not more than 5-10 minutes.



3. It is recommended that you take steam after exfoliating as it helps removing black and white heads.



4. Use a toner after you are done. If you do not have a toner, use rosewater or cucumber juice to close the pores.



5. Use a sunscreen half an hour before leaving the house so as to avoid the tan patches on the skin.



6. Drinking lots of water, eating a balanced diet and having a sound sleep also aids to a healthy skin.
